Dear DHUMP Families,
The PTC board welcomes you to a new school year at DHUMP!
After school in the courtyard join us along with your child for an ice cream social which will be Friday, September 18th.
You will see the PTC throughout the year in events that bring our community together like the monthly Mug-N-Muffins, Fall Potluck, Book Fairs, Fall Festival, Bloomin’ Bash and Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. Our members are responsible for bringing us Fellini’s pizza days, cultural arts programming and special projects like the new children’s garden. Our Parent Teacher Connection enhances our children’s school experience, builds community among parents and makes our teachers jobs more enriching and rewarding. We encourage you to get involved by becoming members of the PTC and hope you consider volunteering for a committee. There are many opportunities to get involved and bring your talents to our school!
Sincerely,
Lee Ann Else

We have two new features on our website that you’ll want to check out.
One is Twitter. What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free web-based “social networking” service that makes it easy to send and receive small instant messages called Tweets. You can receive these on any computer browser or as text on your wireless phone. We will be updating our Twitter page regularly with news and late-breaking information such as school closings due to weather or public health or safety alerts related to our school. For more information on Twitter and how to set it up and use it on your PC, Mac or wireless phone (it must be able to receive text messages), please watch our tutorials:

The Second Feature is the DHUMP.org Forum on the Talk! page.
If you’re familiar with online bulletin boards and message boards and how to use them, click on over, register, then sign in and begin leaving or reading messages related to our Preschool here: http://www.dhump.org/talk.htm
Try it! Post a question, leave an answer. From packing your child’s lunch to what is being taught in class and upcoming events. This is a place where our parents can engage in an ongoing conversation about their children, our school and the community. You must be registered to post on our site.
To view Flash tutorials on how to use the Forum surf over to here:

If you have questions, complaints or suggestions about either of these services please email our webmaster: webmaster@dhump.org
